In before "FINALLY, MORE BLACK PEOPLE."

This has been the only thing I could draw in awhile. Sadly. But I love it. Remember that Rosalie piece I made back at the beginning of the year?

Well this is her mother (born sometime in the 1880s), who came from a prominent black family somewhere in the South (I haven't decided where yet, and they'll eventually move North). She and her younger sister are also the first generation in the family that weren't born enslaved.

I haven't given her a good name yet, but this was around 1905 when she was married. That's her wedding dress. She and her husband would have a son born a year later, and then Rosalie--born in 1910. I guess the rose is a hint...

I know I messed up with the hand positions. I know that dress isn't exactly accurate for dresses in the 1900s-1910s (and styles from 1890s, 1900s and 1910s were all different actually...)

I have nothing else to say, but enjoy while I work on more projects....
